Here at the University of Reading we are looking for male individuals with Type 1 diabetes, who are between the ages of 18-35yrs who typically display a wide range of blood glucose values during a typical day.

The aim of the trial is to develop a model of how the characteristics of the eye change when glucose (sugar) changes in the blood. The longer term goal is to use this information to produce a meter than measures glucose without the need for finger stick blood collection by simply shining a low power beam of light into the eye. The meter will have the look and feel of the mobile phone and the user will simply look into it to get a reading of their glucose.
You will be reimbursed for your time.
